Northern safari Itinerary: Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Manyara National Park

Welcome to Tanzania, a nation distinguished by its rich biodiversity and breathtaking natural landscapes. This tour will guide you to three of the most renowned and picturesque destinations within this East African country. Our initial location is Tarangire National Park, celebrated for its expansive savannahs and significant population of elephants. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe these magnificent animals in their natural environment, as well as encounter other remarkable wildlife such as lions, zebras, and giraffes.

Subsequently, we will proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that boasts the largest caldera in the world. This region is abundant with wildlife, including the endangered black rhinoceros, and serves as an excellent venue for experiencing traditional Maasai culture. Finally, we will conclude our journey at Lake Manyara National Park, a tranquil haven recognized for its resident hippos and unique tree-climbing lions. This park is also a paradise for birdwatchers, featuring over 400 species of birds to explore. Day 1: Arrive Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will meet your friendly driver who will drive you to the hotel in Arusha for the briefing and overnight

Day 2: Tarangire Nationational Park

After an early breakfast check out from the lodge, you’ll be picked up to head to the Tarangire National Park famous for its large population of elephants. As you drive through the luscious green forest, keep an eye out for the elusive leopards and giant Pythons. After the Game drive, you will proceed to the Lodge for the night & Dinner.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Park

After breakfast drive from Karatu Town heading to Ngorongoro conservation area for a Game Drive in the Crater. You will descend into this magnificent crater for a full day Crater tour with a packed picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. After the game drive you will be taken to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Karatu.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a Game Drive.
Lake Manyara National Park is part of the Lake Manyara Biosphere Reserve. The flora of Lake Manyara National Park is diverse, with over 670 flowering plants and Fern species documented. Most are widespread species; there are few rare or endemic species. The dominant tree, Acacia Tortillis grows to about 10m tall with a flat-topped canopy. Herbivores of Lake Manyara National Park include Zebra, Bushbuck, Waterbuck, Impala, Cape Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Baboon, Warthog, and Elephant. After the Game drive, you will proceed to drive back to Arusha town the Kilimanjaro International Airport ready to fly back home.
Driving time from Lake Manyara to Kilimanjaro International Airport is – approximately 2 and a half hours up to 3 hours.
